Expressions of interest are invited for appointment as a member of the Pastoral Land Board for a term of four years.

The Pastoral Land Board is established under the Pastoral Land Act 1992 and plays an important role in the sustainable management of the Northern Territory’s pastoral estate. Board members undertake a range of statutory functions, including:

• Monitoring and reporting to the Minister on the condition and use of the pastoral estate
• Facilitating compliance with lease conditions, permits, and approved activities
• Assessing applications for land clearing and non‑pastoral use
• Providing advice to the Minister on matters related to pastoral land management under the Act

The Minister is seeking suitably qualified individuals with a range of skills and experience relevant to the pastoral industry, land management, or statutory decision‑making. Expressions of interest are particularly encouraged from applicants with specialist expertise in expertise in Native Title and Land Tenure Law and an Aboriginal person with an interest in land condition monitoring and development.
