The Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association (NTCA) has congratulated Dr Sue Fitzpatrick on her appointment as the Northern Territory’s Chief Veterinary Officer.

NTCA Chief Executive Officer Romy Carey said Dr Fitzpatrick brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position, having previously served as the Territory’s Chief Veterinary Officer and, more recently, as Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer and Acting Chief Veterinary Officer.

“Sue has a long history in the Northern Territory and a strong understanding of our livestock industries, biosecurity priorities and the operational realities facing producers,” Ms Carey said.

“Her experience and practical knowledge will be enormously valuable in this important role.

“On behalf of the NTCA and our members, I congratulate Sue on her appointment. We look forward to continuing to work closely with her to protect and strengthen the Territory’s cattle industry.”
