The Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association, the peak primary industry body representing cattle producers across the Northern Territory, has unveiled the full program for one of the Territory’s most significant annual conferences supporting the region’s economy.

The Northern Territory’s Cattlemen’s Association Annual Conference will run from March 18-20 and is expected to attract hundreds of attendees from throughout Australia.

NTCA CEO Romy Carey said this year’s conference theme is ‘Better on Beef’ and will be a celebration of the NT’s beef industry, the people, landscapes, and cattle.

“The NTCA Annual Conference brings cattle and associated industries together to share stories, showcase innovation, and celebrate the resilience that defines who we are. It is where producers, policymakers, researchers, business leaders and the urban community of Darwin stand side by side to champion an industry that is both heritage and horizon.”

In 2026 the conference offers something for everyone with a range of displays, demonstrations and presentations of direct relevance to cattle producers, from integrated farming practices and breeding programs to genomics and drones.

Day 2 starts with a Heart Foundation pre-conference walk followed by the Presidents address and a federal political update before a series of forward-looking strategic and economic thought generation presentations.

Industry specific presentations follow the lunch break before Jan Lambregts, Head of Rabo Research Global Economics & Markets presents on the global beef outlook and an examination of ‘who has the cards’ for 2026.

Ms Carey said there are a range of informative and engaging speakers with real and meaningful information for all producers.

“Tickets are selling fast for the 2026 NTCA conference, but they are still available. I would also encourage anyone interested in the Ladies Lunch on the Wednesday, the welcome drinks evening and Gala Dinner to get your tickets before they sell out.” 

With just over a month to go until the event, tickets are still available but delegates are encouraged to get in fast to ensure they do not miss out.
