The 2026 Alice Springs Combined Agents Show Sale has delivered an outstanding start to what is shaping up to be an exceptional Alice Springs Show weekend, with strong demand and even stronger cattle prices providing a welcome boost for Central Australian producers. Buyers from across Australia competed for quality lines of cattle, reflecting continued confidence in the region’s renowned livestock and the strength of the Central Australian beef industry.
A huge congratulations goes to all vendors for presenting such an exceptional line-up of cattle, and to the livestock agents whose professionalism and hard work helped deliver another successful sale. Events like the Show Sale are only possible through the collective efforts of many people, and we acknowledge everyone involved, from producers, agents and buyers to transport operators, yard staff, processors, volunteers and organisers whose commitment ensures the sale continues to be one of the premier events on the Central Australian pastoral calendar.
It was fantastic to welcome Minister Maley and Minister Burgoyne to the sale, providing an opportunity to showcase the strength, resilience and economic importance of the Northern Territory cattle industry.
Congratulations to the Fogarty family from Palmer Valley Station, topping the sale with their organic, EU certified Angus steers at $6.02.
With such a positive result to kick things off, the momentum is set for an incredible Alice Springs Show weekend. The Show continues to celebrate the innovation, resilience and community spirit of Central Australia’s pastoral industry, bringing together producers, businesses, government and the wider community to recognise one of the region’s most important industries.
We’re at the show all weekend, make sure you head down to the cattle area and come and see us to vote for your favourite Cows for School cow!
